Privacy notice
Zia & Zuko Ltd is the data controller for the information described below. This site collects nothing on its own - the only information we hold is what you choose to send us.
What we collect
There are no forms on this site. If you email us, we receive whatever you put in that email: typically your name, your email address, and whatever you tell us about the work you want done. Nothing else is gathered, and there is no analytics or tracking of any kind.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
We use it to reply to you and, if we go on to work together, to run the project and keep the records a business is required to keep. The lawful basis is legitimate interests - responding to someone who has contacted us about work - and, once there is an agreement in place, performance of a contract and compliance with our legal obligations.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that go nowhere are deleted within about 12 months. Records relating to actual client work are kept for six years after the end of the relationship, which is the retention period for UK company and tax records.
Who else sees it
Nobody, other than the providers we use to run the business - our email provider, and our hosting and accounting providers. They process the data on our instructions. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for marketing.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it. Email us and we will deal with it within one month. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled something, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Our other sites
Zia & Zuko Ltd is also the company behind Firebell, Plumber Pro AI, Am I Overreacting and Gut Honest. It is the data controller for all of them - those are product names, not separate companies.
Each of those sites does different things, so each has its own privacy notice describing what actually happens there. Some of them use forms, analytics or payment providers that this site does not. This notice covers this site only.
